Join us at Lone Star Ranch in south Austin, just minutes from downtown, and take in the adventure on our Ranch Trail Lesson, courtesy of Texas Trail Rides! Guest are fitted with all the necessary safety gear and lead across the scenic creek into a beautiful piece of nature within Austin's city limits.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT ACTIVITIES DO YOU OFFER?
More than you probably realize! While horseback riding is our flagship service, we provide everything for a true Texas experience! We offer skeet (trap) shooting, fishing excursions, hunting expeditions, equestrian lessons, birthday parties, and so much more! All you have to do is ask!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR ON MY TRAIL LESSON?
Arrive wearing close toed shoes (tennis shoes and boots are great!) and long pants. Hats and sunglasses can be helpful.
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?
Arrive 15 minutes before your ride begins. We like to make sure we can get you fitted for helmets and introduce you to your horse in plenty of time before we head out!
WHAT ELSE SHOULD I BRING?
This is a working ranch, so we don't have ATM machines or vending options. We have saddle bags to store necessities. Bring a water bottle and some cash for your wrangler if you choose to tip them, although it is not required.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
We need 72 hours for a cancellation. Please let us know if you have questions about this.
WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER?
We ride rain or shine, but will reschedule rides when the weather is hazardous (lightning, etc.).
ARE THERE WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS?
We try to pair each rider with the right horse. Our weight limit is 250 lbs. For riders that exceed that, ask about alternate activites we can provide.
